Privacy policy

Your privacy, plainly put.

What personal information CX Drivers collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Last updated 12 October 2026.

In short

We only collect what you choose to send us, we use it to reply and to work with you, and we never sell it. This website sets no cookies and doesn’t track you.

Who we are

CX Drivers is a trading name of Kit Plumb, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law, I am the “controller” of your personal information.

Contact: [email protected]
Post: Unit 174049, PO Box 7169, Poole, BH15 9EL

What we collect

  • When you get in touch. Your name, email address, company (if you give it), the service you’re interested in, and your message. This comes through the contact form (handled for us by Formspree) or by emailing us directly.
  • If you become a client. Business contact details, plus the information we need to agree, deliver and invoice the work.
  • When you visit the site. Our website host automatically records basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These logs are used only to keep the site running and secure.

We don’t ask for sensitive information, and please don’t include any in your message.

You don’t have to give us any personal information. But we can’t reply to an enquiry without your name and email address, or work with you without the details needed to agree and invoice the work.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

Replying to your enquiry
Our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
Delivering work for clients
Performing our contract with you.
Keeping business and tax records
Legal obligation.
Keeping the website secure
Our legitimate interest in protecting the site and its visitors.

We will never add you to a mailing list without your clear consent, never sell your information, and don’t use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers we need to run the business, who process it on our behalf and under contract:

  • Google (Google Workspace): email, so your messages and our replies are stored there.
  • Formspree: receiving contact form submissions and forwarding them to our inbox.
  • Cloudflare: hosting this website (including its technical logs), plus domain name and DNS services.
  • If you become a client, our accountant, and HMRC where the law requires it.

Some of these providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, they protect it with safeguards recognised under UK law, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum. Contact us if you’d like details of these safeguards.

Information we handle for clients

During a client project we may see personal information that belongs to that client, such as their customers’ support tickets or survey responses. When that happens we act as a “processor” on the client’s behalf, using it only on their instructions and under our contract with them. The client’s own privacy notice covers that information, not this one.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don’t lead to work: up to 12 months, then deleted.
  • Client records: for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting purposes (currently at least five years after the relevant tax return deadline), then deleted.
  • Website logs: kept by our host for a short period in line with its own policy.

Cookies

This website does not set any cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Our fonts are hosted on our own site, so visiting doesn’t send your information to font providers either. If that ever changes, we’ll update this policy and ask for your consent where needed.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct anything that’s wrong or incomplete;
  • delete it;
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • send it to you or another organisation in a portable format.

Just email [email protected]. There’s no charge, and we’ll respond within one month.

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page if anything changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
